POWDER COATING

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light, the powder is transformed into hard protective finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

Powder coating is traditionally used as a surface coating for metal, creating a protective layer that prevents discolouration or rust developing, whilst creating an easily serviceable smooth finish. Mixed with pigment, the coating can be applied in bespoke colours, allowing this finish to be both aesthetic as well as functional.
