Ash wood is strong, dense, lighter in colour than oak and smooth to the touch. It features a straight wood grain and medium to coarse texture. It takes glueing, stains and polishes well, and has steam-bending properties, making it popular for woodworking projects. Less prized than oak and more physically appealing than beechwood, Ash is a great middle-ground for many tasks. Notably and unusually for its great strength and density, Ash remains lightweight compared to Oak.

Perfect for a range of different uses, this timber can be used for furniture flooring, interior joinery to shop fitting.
