SEAQUAL Fibre
Created from recycled plastics that were marine debris and collected from the bottom of the ocean. SEAQUAL fibres are supplied by Camira Fabrics and created entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic - from debris floating discarded in our seas, used to make SEAQUAL yarn, to bottles thrown away and destined for landfill. One small drop in the mission to clean both the earth and its ocean, this contemporary fabric is a recycled polyester with a purpose.
For every kilo of fibre produced, a kilo of waste is removed from the sea. Although the SEAQUALâ„¢ fibre offers identical properties and qualities to fibres created using new polyester fibre, its environmental footprint is incomparable. It plays an active role in cleaning up the ocean depths and allows for a 40% reduction in water consumption, energy savings of 50% and reduces carbon emissions by 60%.
