REPREVE RECYCLED POLYESTER
Repreve is a brand of recycled polyester fibre made from used plastic bottles. Available as a range of upholstery fabrics known as Rivet from Camira Fabrics, the recycled fibre is transformed into a beautifully textured and colourful textiles available to use in furniture and interior design.
Unifi, who makes Repreve, has to date recycled over 25million plastic bottles, diverting this waste away from landfill and repurposing it into an innovative and functional textiles used across athletic and fashion apparel as well as the design industries. Additionally, by finding new life for this recycled material, compared to making what's called virgin fiber, making REPREVE offsets using new petroleum, emitting fewer greenhouse gases and conserving water and energy in the process.
