 pinatex

Pinatex is an innovative cruelty-free alternative to leather and PVC, made from waste pineapple leaves.

A byproduct in existing agriculture, making use of the leaves creates an additional income stream for farming communities, providing positive social and economic impact whilst maintaining a low environmental footprint throughout its commercial production. After harvesting, leaf fibres left over from the pineapple plant are extracted, washed and dried, purified and processed to create Pinafelt, a non-woven mesh which forms the base of all Pinatex collections.

Available in a range of colours, Pinatex uses GOTS certified pigments and a resin top coating for additional strength and durability. Also available in metallics and a Pinatex Performance range, all suitable for use across fashion, accessories and upholstery.
