 Eco Plywood

Also known as veneer ply, because plywood is comprised of thin, compressed layers of veneer that are bound together with an adhesive. When compared to typical timber methods, the plywood production process wastes much less wood. Hardwoods, softwoods, bamboo, or a mix of woods can be used to make plywood sheets.

For plywood to be considered eco-friendly and made more sustainable several factors must be adhered to:

  • The wood needs to be sourced from FSC certified manufacturers.

  • Adhesives used must contain a low VOC that do not contain formaldehyde.

  • Locally sourced wood from a sustainably managed forest.

Plywood is recyclable and can be reused for other applications and purposes.
