Chip[s] Board® Potato WAste Material
Chip[s] Board® have developed a range of innovative and sustainable circular economy materials using potato waste. Their materials are highly durable, recyclable and biodegradable.
Recycled potato peelings are developed into eco-friendly MDF substitutes. They contain no toxic chemicals and have been designed mainly for fashion & interior design purposes.
Raw potato peel is refined to generate a binding agent that may be applied to a variety of fibres, including potato skins, bamboo, reclaimed wood, and beer hops.
The material is then formed by heat pressing the composite into a strong sheet of board that can be processed into a variety of products, including furniture and building materials.
