 Carbon Negative Material

M-LS (Manufactured LimeStone) Material made from carbon being captured, via accelerated carbonation technology, that produces permanent capture and reduction in carbon; hence the name ‘Carbon Negative’ in our atmosphere.

Developed by O.C.O Technology, permanent carbon reduction involves the process of utilising carbon dioxide gas as a resource to treat and valorise a wide range of waste; resulting in the formation of Calcium Carbonate (manufactured limestone). This process is known as Carbon Capture and Utilisation or CCU.

Very little energy is required for CCU and is designed to rely on the reactivity of the waste materials. This natural reactivity accelerates the process, taking place in minutes rather than years.

CCU has been recognised in a United Nations Environment Report and acknowledged as making "a demonstrable contribution to the developing European circular economy".

Did you know?

Every thousand tonnes of M-LS produced captures the same amount of carbon dioxide as planting 4,000 trees every year
